By: Melissa Koenig

It was during World War one; from 1914 though 1918 the British Blockade was formed.          The blockade barricaded the German coast, Neutral British ports and mined the entire north sea The British blockade prevented weapons and other military supplies from getting through.  Americans had been angry at the blockade, which threatened freedom of the seas and prevented American goods from reaching germen parts.  The blockade was formed so the Germans would run out of ammo and food supplies.  The blockade would weaken the Germans so the British concur them.  750,000 Germans starved to death as a result of the blockade.  German responded to the British blockade wish a counter blockade by U-Boats.
