  • Online catalog of Learning Center materials
    • Books
    • Databases for research
  • Reference books and encyclopedias including specialized subject sources
  • Daily newspapers
  • Computers with:
    • Internet access
    • Research databases
    • Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, etc)
  • NOTE - computers are for school-related use
    • no games, personal email, inappropriate material
  • It is highly recommended to bring a flash drive or CD-RW to store files on
    • any material(s) saved on the computers can be cleared without notice

Use
  • Students may come to the Learning Center for study and leisure reading when they do not have a scheduled class. However, students must arrive on time, entering and leaving during mod change only. A pass is required if they arrive after the mod change.
  • Students also come to the Learning Center throughout the school year with classes, in small groups, or as individuals to do research on assignments requiring use of Learning Center resources. Please have a pass from subject area teachers.
  • The Learning Center staff is always available and happy to assist students in using its varied materials and services.

Procedures
  • Use your Student ID card to check out library materials on either level of the Learning Center
  • Books go out on a 3-week loan
  • Return materials in the book return slot at the LLC circulation desk or use the return depositories in hallways near the LLC and ULC doors

  • Show respect and consideration for fellow students and Learning Center staff
  • Use materials and equipment properly and with care
  • Arrive promptly at the beginning of the period and remain for its duration
  • Study quietly
  • No food/beverage permitted
  • No playing cards, listening devices, or phones
