Ben Kieffer- One of our Mentor Wrestling ironmen. He was 3rd at Valley Forge and 5th at the Perry Pin City Tournament. He compiled a record of 17-7 before breaking his collarbone and missing the remainder of the season, more then 10 varsity matches. He would have easily reached his 20 wins for the season had he not been injured.
Jamie Hendershot- Very similar to our previous wrestler he missed more then 10 varsity matches due to a knee injury and definitely would have reached 20 wins for the season had he been able to wrestle these matches. He finished the season with a record of 16-6 on the varsity and Varsity Gray team. His most memorable match for me was him being willing to wrestle 189 for the varsity at the very tough Mentor duals, because we didn't have anyone else and would have had to forfeit. He was just coming off his injury, but was willing to give up close to 20 pounds just to help out his teammates. This shows the type of character and team player that he really is.
