President
Sarah Perry Sarah is a senior at Mentor High this year and has been in Student Government for 11 years.
She is a member of the Science Olympiad team, Mock Trial team, Model UN team, Web team, National Honors Society
and editor of the Inkwell. In her spare time Sarah likes to volunteer and work as a waitress in a small café.
Sarah plans to pursue a Pre-law and political science degree next year.
From the constitution:
President-The President shall be the liaison with the administration for the student body. She or he shall attend or appoint someone to attend administrative meetings including PTSA meetings, calendar committee meetings, and all other committees requiring a student representative. The President shall work with the advisor and Vice President to appoint cabinet members including the Philanthropy Specialist, Corresponding Secretary, and Recording Secretary. She or he is also responsible for overseeing elections. The President shall have further powers, duties, and limitations as assigned by the Student Government.
Vice-President
Natesa Weber Natesa Weber is a junior this year. She has been involved with student government at Mentor High since her freshman year. Natesa plays lacrosse and participates in Model UN. She is also on the varsity swim team. In her free time she works as a lifeguard and swims. Tesa can't wait to begin making Mentor High the best that it can be!

The Vice President shall aid the President with his or her duties. In the absence of the President, the Vice President shall preside over Student Government meetings. The Vice President shall assume the Presidency if the President is no longer able to hold the office. The Vice President shall have further powers, duties, and limitations as assigned by the Student Government.
Philanthropy Specialists
Jenna Pedersen Jenna Pedersen is involved in numerous activities in and out of Mentor High School. She has been a proud member of the Fighting Cardinal Marching band for four years and participated on the tennis team the past two years. Jenna enjoys working with others and accomplishing goals that benefit the students of Mentor High. She is involved in her church's youth group and has volunteered in the Mentor Summer Band program for the past 5 years. Jenna plans to continue her education by attending a four year college and majoring in English and Pre-Law in order to become a lawyer.
Melanie Hlahol Melanie Hlahol is a senior at Mentor High this year. She has been on the swim team since her freshman year and has also participated in student government, NHS, and lacrosse. She enjoys swimming and hanging out with friends in her free time. Melanie can't wait to make the best out of her last year at Mentor High!From the constitutuion:
The Philanthropy Specialist shall be responsible for administering a calendar of charitable events and shall be responsible for monetary charity drives in school. The Philanthropist shall have the power to appoint others to head charity drives within the school. In the absence of the President and Vice President, the Philanthropy Specialist shall preside over the Student Government meetings. The Philanthropy Specialist shall have further powers, duties, and limitations as assigned by the Student Government.
Recording Secretary
Emily Harker Emily Harker is a senior at Mentor High. She participates in Soccer and Track as well as Science Olympiad, Future Leaders, Model UN, NHS and Student Government. A little bit of a nerd, Emily loves math and science, but also loves taking Spanish and French. In her spare time, she loves hanging out with friends, volunteering, running and reading.

The Recording Secretary shall be responsible for recording and filing the minutes of regular and special meetings of the Student Government, and for preparing the agenda of upcoming meetings as necessary. In the absence of the President, Vice President, Philanthropy Specialist, and the Corresponding Secretary, the Recording Secretary shall preside over the Student Government meetings. The Recording Secretary shall have further powers, duties, and limitations as assigned by the Student Government.
Corresponding Secretary
Avi Danda Avi Danda is a junior in the best high school on the planet: Mentor High. He was originally a Baller when he played Freshman Basketball but now he is a Lax Bro on the JV Lacrosse Team. He is also actively involved in Science Olympiad, Peer Tutoring, Model UN, Future Leaders, and of course Student Government. In his free time, Avi enjoys hanging out with friends and playing video games.

The Corresponding Secretary shall be responsible for posting and delivering all minutes of regular and special meetings of the Student Government and for posting the agenda of upcoming meetings as they are prepared. The Corresponding Secretary shall be responsible for correspondence of the Student Government and for taking and recording attendance. The Corresponding Secretary has the responsibility of publicity. In the absence of the President, Vice President, and Philanthropy Specialist, the Corresponding Secretary shall preside over the Student Government meetings. The Corresponding Secretary shall have further powers, duties, and limitations as assigned by the Student Government.
Historian
Mattie Haag Mattie Haag is a sophomore this year at Mentor High. As a freshman, she participated in cross country, swim team, track, and theater. She enjoys being with her friends, running, and lifeguarding in her spare time. She is greatly looking forward to this school year and being a part of Student Government!
