CardinalFootball
The Mentor Cardinal Football team ended it's season with a tough loss to the Euclid Panthers 28-16. The game started with many turnovers but Mentor put it's first score on the board with an exciting 80 yard fumble recovery for a TD by Justin Cudak. The Cards were down at half time 21-7 but dominated the 3rd quarter. With 6:55 left in the 3rd quarter, Bill Deitman ran an 11 yard touchdown. The Cardinal defense shut down the Euclid offense for much of the second half but the Panthers scored with 2:09 left in the game sealing their victory. Mentor scored a safety with :01 left in the game but it was not enough. The Cards end the season with a 5-5 record while accumulating over 2700 yards of offense. Thanks to the players & coaching staff for putting together an exciting season. We'll see everyone next year.
