St. Patrick's Day
Today many Americans will be proud of their Irish heritage. That may include listening to the Drop Kick Murphy's or Flogging Molly. It may include reading some great Irish literature or reflecting on the contributions that the Irish have made to the world and America. It is also a time to reflect on An Gorta Mor:the great potato famine of 1846 to 1850 in which one million people died. That combined with a mass emigration took the population of Ireland from 8 million down to 5 million and profoundly affected both Ireland and the United States.

  Mr. Spiccia, principal of Mentor High School will present an update on the School Improvement Initiative at 7:00 PM on March 21 at Mentor HS(A Lecture). All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
