the pitching of Ashley Thomas, who had fifteen strike outs. The team has
an intense week ahead as they play Lakewood

Baseball
The Varsity baseball team lost their first game of the season in a hard fought battle against Lorain Southview. After getting down early in the game, the fighting Cardinals came back to tie it up by their solid pitching core, timely defense, and patience at the plate, but it ended up being a little short. The Cards lost in the bottom of the last innings, 6-5. Pitching for the Cardinals were Senior Ricky Hundorfean and Senior Jeff Boresz. Leading the offensive strike was Senior Darrick Frey with a home run and 3 runs, others with hits included Junior Bobby Szabo, Senior Ricky Deleandro, and Senior Tom Oschip. JV won 11-1. Freshman won 3-0.
