He will be missed.

Priceless Cardinal Football
$6 regional semi-final game ticket + $8 gas money (68 mile round trip to Parma) + a few thousand Mentor football fans in 35 degree temps = Another Cardinal Playoff Victory ... priceless! The Cards won their regional semi-final game against the Solon Comets 23-13 raising their record to 9-2 on the season. The scoring started with a Kevin Harper 38 yard field goal. Tom Worden returned to the line up and rambled for a 7 yard TD with 3:44 left in the first quarter. Before half, Bart Tanski ran for a 3 yard TD making the halftime score 17-6 in favor of the good guys. Harper continued his kicking ways with a 33 yard field goal with 7:04 left in the 3rd quarter. After Solon cut the lead to 20-13 in favor of Mentor, the Cards marched down the field and ended the scoring with another Harper field goal of 42 yards leaving only 2:11 left in the game. An interception by Nicholas Kranz on Solon\'s last ditch effort ended the hopes of any Comet fan. The next opponent will be Glenville on Saturday, November 17th. Stay tuned for the location. Congrats to the entire team and GO CARDS!
