Playoff Info 11.5.2007
The Mentor High Athletic Office will begin selling tickets on Wednesday for the Football game vs. Solon this Saturday at Byers Field in Parma at 7:00. Ticket sales will be daily Wednesday thru Friday and Thurs. evening at the High School gym ticket booths from 6:00-8:00. There will not be a parents bus. All tickets are $6.00 pre-sale and general admission. Volleyball tickets are available in the High School Athletic Office. Ticket prices are $7.00. The lady Cards will travel to Wright State University and play Friday @ 3:00. The boys soccer team will play Sylvania Northview at Solon High School Tuesday evening at 7:00pm GO Cards! Volleyball
The Mentor High Volleyball are Regional Champions! In a two hour match of 5 tense games, the ladies pulled out a victory. Headed by Hall of Fame coach Rich Woodman, the girls plan to take another victory Saturday, November 10th. The girls are in the final four and ready to take it all!
Girls Soccer
The girls ended their season Wednesday night with a 1-0 loss to Massilon Jackson. These Lady Cards clearly outplayed their opponents only to have an unlucky goal in the last 8 minutes of the game. They had an amazing season of 16-3-1, and we're proud of them all. GO CARDS!!
Boys Soccer
The Boys soccer team played an outstanding match last Saturday and defeated Massilon Jackson to become Regional Champions! They play Tuesday(today), November 6 at 7pm in Solon. There's no school so come support the boys in this final four match up. GO CARDS!
Boys Golf
The Boys Golf Team had a great regular season this year winning the North Royalton Invitational and placing well in several others. Their headed by their number 1 golfer Mike Guarino as well as seniors, Brian Cline and Matt Curtis, and freshman, Cory Vinburg. They've qualified for states and are ready to win. Wish them luck as they compete this Friday and Saturday, Oct. 19-20, in the State Tournament. Go Cards!
Cardinal Football Playoff Fever
The Cardinals started the football playoffs by defeating the Painesville Riverside Beavers 38-14. Mentor scored 38 consecutive points before Riverside scored their first point. The Cards started with a Kevin Harper 52 yard field goal. Bart Tanski then ran a 1 yard TD followed by a TD pass to Cory Zikesch for a 64 yard score. Mike Popelas continued the scoring with a 3 yard TD to open the 3rd quarter. Next, Tanski hit Zikesch for their second hook up on a 17 yard score. Popelas then ran for his 2nd TD on the evening which ended the Mentor scoring. The Cards continue their playoff march next week against the Solon Comets. Keep your eyes and ears open for details on the game which is scheduled for Saturday, November 10th. GO CARDS!

The Breakfast Program will be offered daily with a selection of cereals, muffins, granola bars, bagels, breakfast bars, fresh fruit, juices, and milk, as well as hot selections - $1.25 (includes milk)
Students that qualify for a free or reduced lunch will automatically qualify for free or reduced breakfast.
Free and Reduced Lunch Applications are available from the Unit Office, the Records Office, or the Main Office - one application per family.
