Volleyball
Girls Volleyball team is currently undefeated at 11-0, ranked 13th in the state by the Plain Dealer. Come out and watch these amazing ladies on their next game next Monday, October 9 vs. Euclid.
Girls Soccer
Check out the new girls soccer photo galleries! Pictures from the Lady Cards last few games against Strongsville, Aurora, Brush, and Euclid have now been posted. The girls are having a fantastic season of 9-2-1, so don't forget to come out and support your lady cards! Next games are home October 6 vs. Hudson, and away October 4 vs Chagrin Falls at 7. GO CARDS!!
Boys Soccer
The boys are finsihing up their season before playoffs so come support them away, October 6 vs. Anthony Wayne, and October 10 at their last home game vs. Loraine Southview at 7 P.M.
Saturday Cardinal Football
The gnats were nowhere to be seen as the Football Cardinals enjoyed an "Indian" summer victory over Shaker Heights 49-7. This raises their record to 5-2 heading into next week's game against the 6-1 Maple Heights Mustangs. Mentor started the scoring when Tyler Schutz ran an 11 yard TD. Tom Worden then ran for a 12 yard score giving the Cards a 14-0 lead at the end of the 1st quarter. Worden then ran his 2nd & 3rd TD's in the 2nd quarter. John Harasyn also scored when he picked up a Shaker fumble and dashed 6 yards for a TD. The "first team" scoring ended when Tanski hit Cory Zikesch for a 50 yard TD in the 3rd quarter giving the Cards a 42-0 lead. Later in the game, Josh Weaver ran 6 yards for the final Mentor score. Kevin Harper added the extra points on all 7 TD's. Worden led Cardinal rushers with 198 yards on 18 carries while Cory Zikesch led the all receivers with 61 yards. Next week is Homecoming so make plans to join us on Friday, October 12th for the 7:30 kick off. GO CARDS!
