Mr. Football
Ohio's Mr. Football is Mentor's very own Quarterback, Bart Tanski. The award is based on balloting by a state media panel and is given to the top Ohio high school football player each year. This is the first time a Mentor student has won this award. Congratulations to Bart and his teammates.

Wrestling is just heating up with another win in last weeks trimatch! Come out this weekend for the Bobcat Duals at Bowling Green State University, Dec. 22-23. GO CARDS!
Swimming and Diving
Mentor High's Swimming and Diving team is off to a great season. The girl's team has four wins under their belts, beating both Bedford and Cleveland Heights this week. The boys team is picking it up with 3 wins. The team takes a small break and will pick back up Dec. 28 vs. Mayfield and Dec. 29 in the Bedford Relays. Take a trip and root on the team! Go Cards!!
Boys Basketball
Boys Basketball is off to a great season with 6 wins, making them undefeated. The guys'next games are Dec. 27 and Dec. 29, away at Riverside and Whitmer. Go Cards!!
Girls Basketball
The Girls Basketball team is 5-2 this season with great victories over Shaw and Euclid. Their well on their way to another District Championship! Next games are home this Saturday, Dec. 22, vs. Cleveland Heights then they take a break and will play Dec.28 vs. Riverside. Both are at home so come cheer them on! Go Cards!

Cheerleaders
Congratulations to the Mentor High School Football Cheerleaders who competed in the Great Lakes Cheerleading Championships yesterday. The team won 1st place in the Varsity division against three other competitive squads. But the winning didn't stop there!! The Mentor Team received the highest score out of all eight teams that preformed in their session, earning them the Grand Champion Award! This is the 1st time Mentor Cheerleaders have won the Grand Champion Award! Great job girls!!

Students that qualify for a free or reduced lunch will automatically qualify for free or reduced breakfast.
Free and Reduced Lunch Applications are available from the Unit Office, the Records Office, or the Main Office - one application per family.
