Swimming and Diving::
One omission was made for the top
16 finishes scoring points at swimming sectionals on Saturday. Jake
Weinstein finished 16th on 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:13.33. Good
job, Jake!
Boys Basketball:Sports Information:
Congratulations again to the Varsity Boys Basketball Team for
defeating the Medina Bees Friday night by a score of 104-71. The
leading scorer was Justin Fritts with 23, followed by Caleb Potter (14)
- Welcome Back Caleb!, and Mitchell Trubisky (11).
The team will host Elyria Tuesday night for the last HOME game.

Boys JV Basketball:Sports Information:
The JV Boys Basketball team lost to Medina Friday night by a score of
54-42. The leading scorer was Kade McClure with 10, followed by Kyle
Hagey (9) and Kent Berger (7).
The team will be HOME Tuesday night against Elyria.

Congratulations to the
Freshmen Red team for defeating NDCL on 1/28. The leading scorer was
Mark Walton with 13, followed by Andrew Hurst with 11.

team lost a close game to Chardon last Wed (2/8) by a score of 54-55.
The leading scorer was Mark Walton with 12, followed by Andrew Hurst
(12) & Nick Navotny (10).

Congratulations to the Boys Freshmen Red
Basketball Team who defeated Medina 68-65 last Friday night. The
leading scorer was Tyler Thompson with 16 followed by Paul Sateika, Joey
Zaugg and Brent Tanski who each had 11. Way to go

The NHS Talent Show is on Feb.
29.
The
Plain Dealer weill be publishing their "senior Standouts"
section in May. MHS may nominate one senior for this honor. If you would
like to be considered, stop by guidance A113 and pick up an application.
Deadline is Feb. 10.
Future Leaders has finished their supply drive for the Battered
Womens' Shelter. There was an overwheming amount of support from the
MHS staff. We collected every item on the Shelter's "wish
list." Thank You MHS staff! This semester Future Leaders will be
focusing on volunteering within the community. Loactions will be decided
at a later date.
Red Lightning Photography Head Photographer Jared Holder
has been chosen to be one of the 8 Men on the 2012 Snow King Court
Congrats Jared and all of the court members
At Wright State University Mentor finished 3rd
in Ohio but 5th overall in a field of 60 teams. Just ahead of Mentor
were the Texas State and Illinois state champions. The team looks
forward to Solon on the 4th and Mentor on the 18th of
February.
